I’m Jen, a twenty-something living in the middle of America. I’m a creative entrepreneur, artist, craftswoman, and gardener with a background in earth and life sciences. I have multiple chronic illnesses that often make life go as unplanned and I’m intensely curious. I love learning and trying new things.
This blog is a place for me to share the things I’ve learned that I think others might find interesting and/or useful. As my interests are wide and varied you’ll find a wide range of things including knitting and weaving, leather working, herbal medicine, gardening (especially growing food), medicine, languages, and so much more.
A love of plants and the earth is a common theme throughout just about everything I do as is a desire to do good and spread happiness. Because of my scientific training I tend to frame my various endeavors as “experiments” because even if an experiment doesn’t go as planned it is still valuable for the things learned.
If you’re interested in learning, making, and exploring with me, Welcome! I’m happy you’re here and I hope you find something useful or at the very least intriguing.
